Travis and Christel Cochell make it look easy! As a family-led dentistry practice, they oftentimes work together to co-diagnose and formulate treatment plans for the same patients. Why? Because they can each bring their own unique skills, talents, and knowledge to provide patients with a higher level of care. Learn more about the Cochell’s and why you’ll find it to be beneficial to work with a family dentist in Salem like Cochell Family Dentistry.

Who is Dr. Travis Cochell?

Dr. Travis Cochell attended Portland State University for his undergraduate degree, graduating with high honors. He then decided to attend Oregon Health & Science University, completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Looking to expand his knowledge of the dental field, Cochell attended the Synergy Training Program where he received a comprehensive education in restoring dental implants.

Dr. Travis has more than a decade of experience working in dentistry, and thoroughly enjoys helping his patients achieve the smiles they deserve. By offering a calming and comfortable atmosphere, he hopes to provide those who walk in the door a different kind of dental experience that will keep them coming back for years to come.

Who is Dr. Christel Cochell?

Unlike her husband, Dr. Christel Cochell attended Oregon State University for her undergraduate degree. However, she did continue on to Oregon Health & Science University to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine. She, too, received additional training and education in restoring dental implants from the Synergy Training Program.

With more than 13 years of dental experience behind her, Dr. Christel is passionate about her work. As a dentist, there’s nothing she enjoys more than giving her patients a reason to be happy about their smiles. Working along with her husband, Travis, the two not only treat the residents of Salem and neighboring areas, but they volunteer locally and abroad to provide dental treatment to underserved populations.

Why Is It Beneficial to Work with a Family-Led Practice?

According to trends in the dental industry, more and more dentists are working alongside their spouse. Conducted surveys suggest that an estimated 70% of dentist work with their spouse and 12% did so at one point in their career.

But why? Many dentists find that working with their spouse enables them to provide better customer service to patients. Dr. Travis and Dr. Christel are able to combine their individual skills to give patients a more thorough, all-around level of treatment.

As the patient, you will benefit in the following ways:

·         More in-depth, high-level care – Each dentist can look at things differently, helping to build a more thorough diagnosis and treatment plan.

·         Greater continuance of care – Family dentists make it possible for you to start treatment at a young age and continue on into adulthood.

·         Comprehensive services – Unless absolutely necessary, everything is handled under one roof, so there’s no need to visit multiple offices for care.

If you’re looking for a dental office that strives to put patients first and deliver the highest standard of quality care, look no further than Cochell Family Dentistry.
